Summary
Southern University at Shreveport, Louisiana (SUSLA) is accepting applications for the Recruiter/Support Advocate SUSLA is a comprehensive community college serving Shreveport, Bossier City, and surrounding areas in Northwest Louisiana. It is one of five campuses constituting the Historically Black Southern University System. The University serves approximately 3,000 undergraduate students and offers 32 undergraduate degrees and certificate programs in a variety of fields including Allied Health, Nursing, Aerospace Technology, Business Studies, Behavioral Science/Education and Science & Technology.
Responsibilities
The Recruiter/Support Advocate reports directly to Director and supports the Educational Advocate with day to day office operations; Assistance with recruitment planning activities for the program; Assist in implementation of the academic year instructional program and summer components; Prepare creative presentation materials, flyers, etc.; pick up supplies, organize storage and cabinet areas; process and file office paperwork, proofing and editing content; perform inventory duties; office and financial record keeping; updating departmental bulletin; research and coordinate field trips.
- This position is located in Shreveport, LA and will work with staff in Sabine on Saturdays as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of postsecondary education six (6) months to one year related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, Experience in a TRIO program is preferred.
