International Student Ambassador

Southern University at Shreveport, Louisiana (SUSLA) is accepting applications for the position of International Student Ambassador. SUSLA is a comprehensive community college serving Shreveport, Bossier City, and surrounding areas in Northwest Louisiana. It is one of five campuses constituting the Historically Black Southern University System. The University serves approximately 3,000 undergraduate students and offers 32 undergraduate degrees and certificate programs in a variety of fields including Allied Health, Nursing, Aerospace Technology, Business Studies, Behavioral Science/Education and Science & Technology.

Responsibilities

Assisting with recruitment initiatives
Serve as a liaison / peer advisor for other international students
Greeting visitors and assisting students
Answering the telephone and scheduling appointments
Filing, scanning and shredding
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Continued attendance in a degree program at Southern University at Shreveport
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills

Salary Range

$8.00/hr.
