NOLAvate Black Brings Black Tech HBCU Tour to Shreveport
SHREVEPORT, LA (February 14, 2024) – NOLAvate Black is bringing its Black Tech HBCU Tour presented by JPMorgan Chase & Co. to Shreveport Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Southern University - Shreveport 3050 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Shreveport, LA 71107 from 10am - 4pm. Key speakers will include Clint Odom, VP External Affairs, T-Mobile; Tia White, Vice President Community Manager, JPMorgan Chase & Co.; Shocker Creal, Chief Technology Officer, City of Shreveport; Randall Boseman, Engineer, Microsoft; and Stephanie Britton, CyberSecurity, Microsoft, along with many others. The Black Tech HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) Tour will highlight career pathways in technology, gaming, film, and entertainment to include talks and panel discussions from industry leaders, a Talent Expo featuring employers hiring for tech jobs, a Game Summit and Tournament with Xbox games, and an Explore Tech Lab with workshops for those interested in technology. Event will also include a STEAM makerspace for kids and youth.
